Two people shaking hands to confirm their business deal and commitment

Contracting is when two or more parties form an agreement to do, or not do, a job or something specific. Contracting means that there is also an established written or verbal contract/agreement, which may be enforceable by law.

For example, you may be contracting a painter to paint the exterior of your house.

Contracting used in a sentence: I found a great engineer that I’m contracting for my business.
